well. right after deciding to keep away from greenscreens and try to make everything as manual and traditional as possible.. and just after moving to another country only to make this desicion a reality.. here i am.. on my way to establish a greenscreen post-production.. feeling happy with all these is the worst part.

i've always been a berry-fan. but after seeing all kinds of berries sold everywhere, i started to believe i'm more than a fan. there're the kinds of berries that i'm used to see only in cakes and stuff. and even the ones i've never seen before. it's like a berry heaven here, awsome!

this one is from way back (more than one week, maybe?).
things didn't happen as i hoped in my last illustration friday post. i just can't find the time for illustrations and posting them at the same time. instead, i hardly find the time for illustration.. anyway, this is the "after hairdresser" illustration.. depression was not the reason though, but isn't it mostly the reason for women?

this is the illustration i meant to draw last week.. but i couldn't manage to find the time between etsy bids (yup!) and visa application struggle.. it's for the horrible day i spent in another city just for the 5-min chat with the embassy secretary.. anyway, hopefully it's over for now..

this is an illustration from way back. but it suits the topic so well, i just couldn't think of drawing anything else.. it was like a detachment. detachment from a city, from a life.. going for good, hopefully..

i finally opened an etsy shop (if you call that blank page a shop anyway). i'll be posting my concerns about that and other stuff about work and money in my "personal" blog, so i'm not going to talk about the details here. it's just the banner i made for the shop i'm interested in here. i'm kind of happy with this. also it seems like a good thing that all my blog and "shop" banners are alike somehow.. we'll see how it'll turn out.

being a flying witch.. it should be like sailing through the stars.. the whole idea was this. 

but i just couldn't manage to make this properly. this is my first version. i wasn't sure what was wrong about this and finally decided the yellow contour was the error.

and i came up with this. but it still doesn't feel right.. i think i'm convinced that i'm really bad at background coloring, after having a look at my previous background-less illustrations..

oh, also i wonder why witches fly only at night.. afraid to be seen? not likely..

this is my loot. i felt like a pirate after taking the pants that my aunt was still wearing. the others were some bedgowns she made nearly 25 years ago but never wore. i'm planning to convince my grandmother to change them into casual but beautiful dresses..

after vacation, i went to visit my grandparents and relatives in country. there were lots of animals of every kind all over the place. kind of fun..

"cactus" was the name of our camping place. it seemed like a reggae cafe but turned out to be really lovely place. 

i drew this cactus character first on a detachable sheet and decided to give it to the owners of the place. but i got embarrassed somehow and asked my friend to give it for me. when he gave the drawing, he said their menu sheets were a bit lame and i did this drawing for replacement. when i heard this, my embarrassment grew bigger and bigger and i thought it would be best to talk them and explain things. when i did, they said it was lovely and would look great on the menu. it was really flattering, and i offered to design the menus based on the character. i'm still not sure if they were serious or not but they accepted my offer with joy and left every decision to me. well, i'll try some designs in the following days, we will all see how this will turn out.

this is from my last day of vacation, it was just before we move in to tent -while i was feeling like "yay! tent!". it's been nearly a year since my last tent adventure, and i think was beginning to kind of miss it.

yes, watercolor only again. even though it seems to be working, i'm beggining to think that i need to find some different subjects for dealing with watercolor properly, since the inked ones still look more cute..
anyway, about the sea water biting me.. it did bit me, twice! i still don't know what it was, but it was someting biting in the sea. maybe it did not really bit me but it did poke me on both my ankles. it was really irritating, espacially not knowing what the hell was going on part..

after giving it some thought, i decided it was best to stick with the old style. but i still wanted to do something with only watercolor for the background and it turned out to be horrible.. it was also weird that i drew this instead of actually go to sea. but i went swimming afterwards..

it was the moment when i started to think that i was carrying the fire with me. first i did the watercolor but i wasn't really happy with the result so i drew the contour lines with ink. it's kind of a little doodle in fact.

this one's an attempt to make everything in watercolor, after my illustration friday submission.. it's not really looking great but there may be some improvements in time. we'll see.
and sheriff is the pension we spent our first three days in but needed to leave due to lack of rooms. the subject is kind of bulk as my primary idea was to do some experiments with watercolor, but anyway, here it is..

okay, i know it's been some time since my last post but i wasn't only wandering around but drawing also. anyway, i'll be trying to post regularly again, like i did before..

this one is about me mailing something in real life with real envelope and in a real post office. after posting, i realized that i've really missed the joy of letters and papers. it was the original version of the "encourage" that i was talking about on the previous entries.
i now hope to get other chances to send and recieve letters more often.
